Wherein Brunhilda and Borris Come Out of a LONG Hibernation

.
Brunhilda and Borris Bearsaltandpepper here, but you may call us Brunhilda and Borris Bearsaltandpepper.

Remember us?

We USED to regale you with our "tails" of daring dos and exciting exploits.   Then we hit the old blogging slump from which so many suffer and we "paws-ed" to succum to a LONG hibernation.
.
.

We decided that TODAY was the day we were gonna come out of our burrow den and face the cyber world.

Only  - - - something WHITE and COLD was blocking our exit.  We weren't at all sure we had picked the RIGHT day to unhibernate.

We can tell you for sure and for certain that we were GLAD we were wearing our heavy fur coats!!

But - - - being the dauntless Bearsaltandpeppers that we are, we decided to persevere.
.
.

When at long last we tunneled our way OUT of our den, we found ourselves perched atop - - -
.
.

A ginormous pile of the cold white stuff.

Miss Keetha said it wasn't ginormous - - - but it was pretty ginormous to US.

While we were out and about, we decided to do some exploring.
.
.

We soon discovered that the cold white stuff was EVERYWHERE - - - even packed onto shrubs and bushes.
.
.
We didn't let THAT stop us - - - we used our beary claws and climbed up to the top of a bush to see what we could see.

What we could see was WHITE - - - in every direction nothin' but WHITE and more WHITE.

We heard Fisherhubby call it snow.
.
.

Suddenly Brunhilda spied some color.

"Woah, Borris!"  She growled, "Let's go check THAT out!"
.
.
Before I could stop her, she had scrambled clear to the TOP of that red and green "thing."

"Hildy!" I hollered, "Be careful up there or you'll fall and crack your head open."

She didn't pay any attention to me - - - she never does.
.
.

Next we checked out this pine tree.  We'd never seen one growing in a circlel before.

"What are you guys doing in my Christmas wreath?"  Asked Miss Keetha when she spied us.

Christmas?   Wreath?   What's she talkin' about???

.
.
Just then we heard her say, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

We took that as a sign we should go back into our den for a long winter's nap.

So we did.

Ta Ta 'til the NEXT y'all.

Keetha, this is so delightful! We spent 3 weeks with our son and family in Indiana during this past February. And did we see some snow! This Louisiana gal loved it!
